Wow I've Been Busy

I'm sorry to all that read my blog. I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to update. Since I last posted we went letterboxing 2 weekends in a row. We also went to the Marshfield fair. Farm animals and demolition derby. Yay!(not) The baby was scared and everything was waaaaaaaaay toooooooooooooo expensive. ($3 for bottled water) We did get to go letterboxing beforehand and got three boxes. One of which I totally wanted before it was moved north for permanent planting. I've also been training boxing buddies, making ltc's, stamping many many postals, and if you saw the pics of Mt. Letterbox, I've been trying to keep up with the FlyLady. So far so good. Monday was Shoebee's birthday and today is Ferg's Bday and it's also the LB Brat's first day of 6th grade at the Middle School. Yay!!!! Ferg goes back after Labor day at his dad's house. Today he is 7. Finally, now I shouldn't have to hear about his bday for another year. I hope everyone has a terrific day and if you'd like to check out the Buddies in Training feel free on my buddy blog. Thanks for reading

Letterboxing Thoughts

Today I finished the stamp for the Postal Challenge by SHH. I'm working on the logbook and hope to finish it later. I recieved like 6 plbs in the mail today. My kids didn't drive me crazy. Well really Ferg did till I played Letter box with him. (Photos above) He did a pretty good job. I just wanted to type a little. One more thing, the next time I volunteer for an index card ring PLEASE SPAM MY EMAIL with nasty email. Cuz obviously I've become nuts. :) Later for now.

Introducing Gidget the Boxing Buddy

Gidget is our new boxing buddy out on adventures. Most of you already know Gidget, you just didn't know the name. Gidget is the Taco Bell Dog. After her Taco Bell gig, she decided to do some Geiko(sp?) ads. Those ads only ran until 2004. After that she came to live with us in the Giant toy box with the other toys. Until recently she was extremely content, However the other day I caught her reading Buddy Blogs and I could see the sadness in her eyes. She thought being a Boxing Buddy would be really fun. So after a family meeting we decided to send Gidget on vacation. Her first stop is the Flory Family in NC. I hope she has a really good time and we get some mail from time to time. Good Luck Gidget!

Wow, I haven't blogged in a while

Let's see, what's new? Well first off, I have organized my postal stuff and unfortunately I have dropped a bunch of postals. (Rings and Singles) For anyone who missed my post, I am not in financial trouble and my 'husband' did not ban me from postals. I just decided that I need to focus on quality and not quantity. So far so good. I have 100 active trackers right now and I think that's plenty. I've decided to host a boxing buddy as well. That ought to be fun.
I never got to write about our awesome Camping trip in Littlmoon's yard. We had the best time. Shoebee was so happy, he bought me a postal scale. It was cool to see the weight change after removing excess tape off the envelopes. (Sorry MWL I know you like that part, but me too) Sometimes it changed the amount by .2 which blew my mind. So I have to go out with the Family for now but hopefully I'll get to blog again soon. :)
Thanks for reading.

Tales of an addicted Letterboxer

Let's see where to begin. Yesterday was Friday the 13th and surprisingly nothing awful happened. I went with Shoebee and his friend to go play tennis. (No I was NOT playing tennis, running and sweating are 2 things I'm not fond of.) I had other ideas. I packed 2 blank letterboxes. For anyone who doesn't know what I mean, here it is. An empty Lock n lock, blank homemade logbook, ziploc bag, and a blank chunk of rubber. I also had the makings for a mini box too. So after finding the perfect hiding spot, I sat down to carve my stamps. I think I did ok, but we'll see when I start getting reports. If your interested in finding it, here's the link.
http://www.atlasquest.com/lboxes/showboxinfo.html?gBoxId=47474
I also stamped about a zillion plbs. I sent out a bunch of them too. I'll list them on the AQ postal board when I figure out which ones I sent this morning.

Today was great. We went letterboxing. We found all 3 boxes we looked for. In fact we had so much fun that I planted a box while we were there. Here's the link if you're interested.
http://www.atlasquest.com/lboxes/clue/index.html?gBoxId=47551
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that we went to Willard Brook State Forest. So far out of all the state parks I've been to, this one I think is the prettiest. We had a picnic lunch, and then my family sat around and waited while I carved and planted my stamp. After stamp planting, we finally let the kids go swimming. Luckily they only wanted to swim for a little bit cuz the misquitos were a killer.

At the moment I'm trying to catch up on plbs, tlbs, and vlbs. Maybe I'll just go read the boards. I'll do the paperwork later. Thanks for reading.

The Sesame Street Party Guests are starting to arrive.

On June 14, 2007 I started a Sesame Street Postal Ring as a present a birthday present for myself. (The 14th was my birthday) Well, finally, almost a month after the ring started I recieved 3 Sesame Street PLBs yesterday. I haven't had a chance to sit down with them yet, but I was starting to thing my ring was a postal disaster. Hopefully I will see some more of the Sesame Street as the ring goes on. :)
-HG
PS. I also have 10 other plbs here that I recieved between Tues and Wed. I will hopefully get them stamped up and Sent out by sat or mon. Thanks

Caught up for the Moment

This weekend was a long one for me. Saturday was a little boring and blah but Sunday well now there was a good day. My family decided to go hiking at the Otter River State Forest in Baldwinville, MA. We were stopped by a park ranger with a patch on her shirt that said "Park Ranger of the Year 2007". After getting a trail guide from her we could tell why she had that patch. :) So we got to the beginning of the trail and the most amazing thing happened. Shoebee agreed to a camping trip in Littlmoon's Back yard. (Watch out Littlmoon, here we come) And on the trail we went. The hike was great, we found 2 boxes, and hiked 4 miles on the nature trail from one campground to the other. :) The kids went swimming. Even Peanut Girl. It was a great day, there were no arguments, and everyone was happy. Did I mention it was great? The only thing that was a pain was that Shoebee made me wait all day to tell Littlmoon our plans. So score one for HG. Hopefully the rain will let up here and I can head for the PO to get my mail from the postman holding it hostage. (That stupid orange card.) I still think he should have left as much mail as would fit and put the rest on the card. Oh well. Bye for now.

I'm Soooooo Behind on Stuff #1

Hello all! I haven't had a chance to check all my emails and whatnot so there will probably be two blog updates today. My first thing is I recieved an orange card from the postman with the parcel spot checked with an s added to parcel. I am assuming that there were more that 6 plb type envelopes in the mail today. (I know 6 fit in my mailbox) So if there are any flags, flash cards and plbs, they will have to wait until monday morning at 8am. The po is closed till then. So on that note, I'm headed for my email and to check in on AQ. Later everyone!!

Singles, Singles, Singles

I recently went into my logbook only to discover that all my singles were closed. Is that because the start date passed? So anyway, I went in and changed all the start dates to september so the trackers would stay open. Anyone who wants to see my state caricatures or presidents, the trackers are officially open again. Also my flags singles are open again as well. As always, newbies are welcome. Please keep in mind that these singles have started to circulate already. I just changed the start date for tracker purposes. :)http://www.atlasquest.com/lboxes/tracker/showinfo.html?gTrackerId=803

Happy Belated 4th!!!

So, after two days of trying, I finally figured out how to log into my blog. Yup, I'm a blonde. We went to visit my dad's for a cookout yesterday. It was alright. Peanut girl really liked the grass. The rest of my clan spent most of the time on the trampoline.
After we got home I went to work on PLBs. I completed a bunch of them. Any that I completed were sent off today. Let me think, I sent out 4 presidents, Fill my Kitchen, Down on the Farm: Cat and Kitten, and that might be it but I'm not sure.
The discussion about our camping/gathering trip is still ongoing. I'm trying to convince Shoebee that it will be so much fun to camp in another LBoxer's backyard. He's a little skeptical. He's a little skeptical of everything. I'll work on him some more. (Littlmoon if you're reading this, I'm trying really hard to convince him.) I have just now been interrupted by the Ferg so bye for now.

Letterbox Maintenance Results and other stuff

We ended up at our favorite park for a cookout, which came out pretty good. While there, I had the chance to checkup on 5 of my 6 boxes there. For the most part the boxes were fine. EXCEPT for the fact that someone put the books and stamps in the boxes loose and the bag around the box. Little things like that make me want to put an f-10 restriction on just so that they have to log a little to get the clues. Of course, LBNA doesn't support that so I guess that would make it really unfair.
Shoebee and I also talked about the Kites Gathering some more and if you listen to us you can tell that we don't take many vacations together. So much planning, so little help from the family. As I type one is in the tub, one sleeping, and the other two are glued to the tv. Of course I am the one who is typing, just got done gluing stamps, 1/2 way through the dishes, and most of the laundry put away. Let me tell you that Shoebee being home on vacation is a lot of work. Has anyone done a maid stamp recently? I'd like to borrow it for my forehead. :)
All in all it's been a productive day. I only received one postal today. I haven't logged or stamped yet cuz I know it's the only one till at least thursday.
I'm still waiting on several alphabet cards. I can't wait to send them back. Everytime Shoebee sees the GIANT envelope of Flash Cards, his forehead starts to wrinkle and he kinda mutters under his breath. I don't know if he says I love my wonderful fiance or I hate Postals. It's one or the other. :) Thanks for reading. That's all for now.

Headed To Check Boxes

Well everyone, Shoebee has this week off so hopefully we can plant and find boxes this week. Today we're headed for one of our favorite parks. I plan to check all my boxes in the park today. I'll let you know how it goes. Bye for now!!!!
